Market Hall International grocer · Cooksville

Cooksville, Mississauga · since 2009

The shelf tells the truth. The website should say the same thing.

Thirty-one countries of groceries, one honest stock count, and a rule you set once so nobody has to phone you from aisle four. Book a curbside bay or a delivery window, and only pay for what actually made it into the bag.

Open now Counters until 8:00 PM

Order in the next 2 h 40 m for a curbside bay this evening.

The aisles

Filter it the way you actually eat.

Every line carries its region, its diet flags and a count that came off the shelf, not off a spreadsheet from Sunday. Filters stack — a halal, nut-free bakery search is one click, not a phone call.

On the shelf

Shelf counts in this demo are generated on your own device from today's date so the page behaves like a real trading day. Certification marks are illustrative for the concept.

Substitutions

Decide once what happens when we're out.

Nobody wants to make thirty hypothetical decisions about food that is probably in stock. Set one rule for the whole order here. Override it on the two or three lines where it genuinely matters, and leave the rest alone.

If a line is short or out, our picker should…

Closest match. Applies to every line unless you override it in the basket.

Overrides, only where they matter

Each line in your basket carries its own if it's out control with the named alternative we would actually reach for. Change the two you care about; the order rule covers the rest.

  • Nothing in the basket yet. Add a few lines upstairs and their alternatives appear here.

Counter lines are weighed, so the final price moves with the actual cut. We show you the difference before it is charged.

The rehearsal

Watch us shop it before anyone pays for it.

This is the part every grocery site hides. Run the pick and your basket is walked line by line against today's shelf: what's found, what's short, what gets swapped by your rule, and what needs you.

Your basket

0 lines · $0.00 estimated

Empty. Add anything from the aisles above — the rehearsal needs something to walk.

The pick

Not started. Nothing is charged at any point in this demo.

Your rule and your overrides both apply here. Change either one and run it again — the outcome moves.

    Windows

Take a window off the board.

Six curbside bays and two vans. Capacity is real, cut-offs are real, and a window that has already passed does not sit there pretending.

    Collection method

Pickup cut-off is 90 minutes before the window opens.

    Today

No window held yet. Choosing one attaches it to your basket.

A grocery worker in a red apron loading paper bags and a green crate into the open boot of a car in a curbside pickup bay

    Curbside

The bay knows you're coming before you stop the car.

The failure in curbside is never the picking. It is the four minutes between you arriving and somebody inside knowing about it. Check in from the car and the chiller cart is already moving.

    1. Say you're on your way

One tap when you leave. The order moves from the chiller to the staging rack.

    2. Pull into any free bay

The board below is live. Take whichever one is green.

    3. Check in with your bay number

Colour and make are on file, so nobody knocks on the wrong window.

    4. Boot open, receipt on the phone

Weighed lines are reconciled at the car. You're charged for what's in the bag.

    Bay board

Six bays. Two occupied right now.

Pick a green bay to check in. This is a demo — no staff member is notified.

    The counters

Four counters that will never fit in a dropdown.

The reason people drive past two supermarkets to get here is behind glass, and it is weighed. So the website says so plainly rather than pretending every line is a sealed box.

    Butcher & halal counter

Cut to order, halal and kosher chains kept separate end to end. Leave a note on the line — cubed for stew, skin off — and it reaches the person holding the knife.

    Open 8:00 AM – 7:30 PM · special orders 48 h

    Spice bar

Forty-two open bins, scooped and weighed while you wait. Buy 40 g of something you have never cooked with instead of a jar you will throw out.

    Ground in-house fortnightly · 25 g minimum

    Cheese, olives & pickles

Brined, not shrink-wrapped. Ask for a taste before you commit; that is the entire reason the counter exists.

    Open 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

    Bakery

Saj from 5 am, pandebono twice a day, baklava syruped the same morning. What is gone is gone; the shelf count above will say so.

First bake 5:00 AM · last bake 3:00 PM

Steel and terracotta bowls of turmeric, sumac, dried rose petals, bulgur, cardamom and green olives on a marble counter with brass scoops

Why the total moves after we weigh it

A shoulder of lamb is not 1.4 kg because you asked for 1.4 kg. It is 1.36 kg or 1.47 kg, and a per-kilo price does the rest. Most grocery sites hide this and then send a receipt that does not match the checkout screen.

Market Hall shows the estimate, shows the weighed price, and shows the difference on its own line — before the card is touched. Set a tolerance and anything beyond it comes back to you as a decision rather than a surprise.

    • Estimate held at checkout, never charged
    • Scale price reconciled at the bay
    • Over your tolerance? It becomes a question
